Quercus laboratory is GMP-certified and we offer a wide range of analytical services for the pharmaceutical industry. We also support our customers with QC related projects like stability studies, method development or validation, elemental impurity analysis, etc. Next to the chemical analytical team, we have an in-house GMP-certified microbiological laboratory.

The Quercus team consists of about 30 QC analysist and is growing. Our Lab is part of the QbD Group and has a healthy ambition to grow.

What do we expect from you as a QC Coordinator Operations?

• You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the QC laboratory, ensuring efficient organization and workflow.
• You will participate in hiring new lab analysts and be responsible for their performance reviews.
• Together with the Planning Coordinator and other QC Coordinators, you’ll optimize resource and equipment planning to maintain efficiency.
• As the first point of contact, you will assist QC Coordinators and lab analysts with daily questions and operational challenges.
• You will lead and contribute to internal improvement projects such as 5S, process optimization, and internal reporting initiatives.
• You will collaborate with international customers as needed, ensuring smooth communication and support.
• You’ll work closely with the QA Coordinator to monitor quality-related topics like Out of Specifications (OOS) and Deviations.
• You’ll assist the QA Coordinator during customer quality audits, ensuring compliance and readiness.

Who are we looking for?

• As a QC expert you have a scientific master’s degree (e.g. industrial pharmacist, biomedical sciences, bio-engineer, …) or equivalent through experience.
• You have a minimum of 4 years experience within the life sciences industry, preferably in a GMP lab. 
• You have a sound understanding of GMP requirements
• You have a good understanding of QC (quality control) processes and organisation
• You love working with people in a laboratory environment
• You can motivate your team to get things done, you can be straightforward in a respectful way
• You have a critical mindset, excellent communications and organizational skills.
• You are a decision maker and born advisor
