As Division Head – Quality Assurance, your primary responsibility is to drive the growth and development of the QA division at both national and international levels. You will be accountable for the operational and financial performance of your team, with full P&L responsibility.
You’ll collaborate closely with our commercial team to defend and position our QA service proposals and act as the main escalation point for our clients when needed. In addition, you will oversee effective resource planning within your division, contribute to internal process improvements, and proactively develop new QA service offerings to meet market needs.
As a key leader within QbD Group, you’ll serve as the central point of contact for supporting departments and other divisions, ensuring smooth collaboration and alignment. In this position, you’ll report directly to the Chief Operations Officer.

🏢What you’ll be doing
- You are responsible for the growth, positioning and operational management of the Quality Assurance division within QbD Group by translating strategic objectives into clear, actionable plans.
- You take ownership of the business plan, KPI performance and P&L of the QA division.
- You actively represent and promote the QA division both internally and externally, sharing expertise and strengthening QbD’s reputation as a trusted QA partner in the Life Sciences industry.
- You work closely with Business Development to expand our QA services nationally and internationally, exploring market trends and identifying opportunities to enhance and diversify our service portfolio.
- You proactively identify new business opportunities, partnerships and service development initiatives for the QA division and in collaboration with other divisions.
- You stay continuously up-to-date on market trends, regulatory evolutions, and industry developments relevant to QA, participating in sector events, conferences, and networks.
- You ensure strong collaboration and compliance between your division and other business units within QbD Group.
- You communicate the company’s vision, strategy and priorities clearly within your team and actively manage expectations and engagement.
- You coach, mentor and develop the members of your division, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning and professional growth. You detect training needs and actively contribute to setting up development initiatives for your consultants.
- You play a key role in supporting HR with recruitment for your division, by participating in interviews, job fairs, and advising on candidate selection.
- In general, your responsibilities are split approximately:
- 50% externally oriented (business development, client relations, market opportunities)
- 25% internally focused (team coaching, knowledge sharing, operational oversight)
- 25% in collaboration with shared services (finance, HR, sales, marketing, etc.)
💪 What you bring
- A master’s degree with a scientific background, complemented by 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or related business processes, ideally within the consulting or services sector.
- Proven ability to define strategic priorities and translate them into clear operational objectives, while actively monitoring P&L, resource allocation, business development opportunities and team development initiatives.
- A natural ability to navigate and foster collaboration across various business units (Pharma, Medical Devices, IVD, etc.), spotting opportunities for synergy while respecting each team’s identity and expertise.
- Strong leadership and people skills, enabling you to coach, empower, and delegate effectively to build a high-performing, engaged team.
- A solid networking mindset and commercial instinct, feeling at ease representing your division with clients, at events, or as a thought leader within the industry.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment without losing sight of key objectives.
- A genuine interest in working within international, multicultural teams and collaborating across borders and business contexts.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional language skills are a strong plus.
- Based in Europe or the UK, with the flexibility for occasional business travel including regular travels to our HQ and local offices
